How you can help

Forty for Forty
Forty years ago, Lenny and Marilyn Wilkens walked into a clinic in the Central District of Seattle and discovered a place where children could receive quality medical care regardless of their ability to pay. That day, they knew that making sure all families in our community have access to basic healthcare and education would become our family’s mission. It’s a commitment of giving that is 40 years strong, and we are proud and humbled by how far we’ve come and how much work still lies ahead.
The need for our help always seems to grow, especially in this time of economic uncertainty. That is why we’d like you to join us in our $40 for 40 Years of Giving campaign. While $40 may not seem like much, the power is in the number of us who choose to support the cause. By saying yes to giving, you join the Lenny Wilkens Foundation to ensure our funds continue to:
Provide much needed well-child visits for children 0-2 years old.
Give families access to critical dental care.
Deliver a variety of mental health services.
Provide access to chronic disease programs focused on asthma, diabetes and sickle cell anemia.
Continue mentoring and education programs for low income families.
Please join us in celebrating Forty Years of Giving by donating $40 to the Lenny Wilkens Foundation.
Lenny and members of the Wilkens Foundation attended the Girls Scouts of Western Washington’s Seattle Leadership Luncheon on February 3, 2011. Lenny is pictured here with the luncheon’s keynote speaker, Laurel Richie, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Girl Scouts USA and currently WNBA president. Celebrating 40 years of giving back to the Pacific Northwest.
